Two prenatal visits
During these visits, we will become acquainted, explore, and discuss your priorities, concerns and plan how we might best work together. We will talk about your preferences for labor and birth. I will also make my labor support resources available to you.

Reachable any time, day or night.

Labor and birth support
I will offer my knowledge and experience to provide physical comfort, emotional support, and informational support. This includes relaxation, breathing, and position changes, and positive encouragement throughout your labor. I will help your partner by offering reassurances and suggestions for how to help you.

Post-partum support
I will remain available to you after the birth of your baby, until you are comfortable and your family is ready for quiet time together. I will help with initial breastfeeding if necessary. This usually occurs within one hour postpartum. I will also phone you to check on your well-being, answer questions and set up a postpartum visit to review the birth experience and discuss postpartum topics, such as breastfeeding and caring for your baby.

I can help you get the information you need and encourage you to make an informed decision. I can suggest questions to ask and remind you when the recommendation is not what you documented in your birth plan, but ultimately all medical decisions are yours to make.
